Old Basing Village Hall

Entrance Hall
The main entrance hall is approached via a ramp for disabled access.  This leads on to a corridor that provides access to all the facilities of the main hall, e.g. kitchen, cloakrooms, main hall, Trevor Dyer room and the stairs to main hall gallery.

Main Hall

We have a number of separate rooms within the hall that can be arranged in different ways.  The main hall can be separated into two rooms, The Main Hall (18.3m x 10.4m / 60ft by 34ft) and the Trevor Dyer Room (4.6m x 10.4m / 15ft by 34ft), or both combined into one large room.

The main hall is galleried on one side and has a versatile stage (7.4m x 4.6m)  at one end.  This can be used for Meetings, Recitals, Plays, etc.

Behind the stage is a storage area containing over 200 chairs, 32 trestle tables (182 x 60cm / 6ft x 2ft), 10 tables (137 x 76cm / 54 x 30″), 32 square tables (81 x 81cm / 32 x 32″) and 11 round tables (152cm / 5ft) seating 8-10 people.   This area can also be used as a changing area when shows or concerts take place.

Our high level Velux windows on both sides of the hall provide excellent natural light during the day time.  Our wooden floor makes for an excellent dance floor.  The pictures above show both rooms combined and set out for a Wedding Party, each in a slightly different way.

Trevor Dyer Room

This room has a bar facility, and there is an approved licensee who must be approached to make arrangements to offer alcoholic drinks for sale.

Kitchen

The kitchen has facilities for simple catering requirements, e.g. tea and coffee and light refreshments, etc.

Toilets

There are adequate facilities for both Gents and Ladies, the Ladies having recently been refurbished.   There is also a recently refurbished separate disabled toilet.

Frank Goddard Room

The Frank Goddard room is a separate meeting room at the rear of the hall having its own entrance.  It is completely self-contained including a small kitchenette.

It is an ideal space for meetings, lectures and educational classes.
