Old Basing Village Hall

Entrance Hall
The main entrance hall is approached via a ramp for disabled access.  This leads on to a corridor that provides access to all the main facilities of the main hall, e.g. kitchen, cloaks, main hall, Trevor Dyer room, stairs to main hall gallery.

Main Hall

We have a number of separate rooms within the hall that can be arranged in many ways.  The main hall can be separated into two rooms, The Main Hall of 60ft by 34ft and the Trevor Dyer Room of 15ft by 34 ft, or both combines into one large room.

The main hall is galleried on one side and has a versatile stage at one end.  This can be used for Meetings, Recitals, Plays, etc.

Behind the stage is a storage area containing over 200 chairs, 36 tables and 11 round tables seating 8/10 people.   This area can also be used as a changing area when shows or concerts take place.

Our high level Velux windows on both sides of the hall provide excellent natural light during the day time.  Our wooden floor makes for an excellent dance floor.  The pictures to the left, and below, show both rooms combined and is set out for a Wedding Party, each in a slightly different way.

Trevor Dyer Room

This room has a bar facility, and there is an approved licensee who must be approached to make arrangements to offer alcoholic drinks for sale.

Kitchen

The kitchen has facilities for simple catering requirements, e.g. tea and coffee and light refreshments, etc.

Toilets

There are adequate facilities for both Gents and Ladies, the Ladies having recently been refurbished.   There is also a recently refurbished separate disabled toilet.

Frank Goddard Room

The Frank Goddard room is a separate meeting room at the rear of the hall having it’s own entrance.  It is completely self-contained including a small kitchenette.

It is currently hired for meetings, lectures and educational classes.
